Schooner Ernestina / Mundo do Cabo Verde t-shirt
This latest George Fonseca design is a beautiful full color
silkscreened 100% white cotton t-shirt depicting the Schooner Ernestina, the only vessel of her type still sailing, on the
front. The artist's graphic--entitled Out of Africa, Into the World--on the back is a map depicting
the many lands to which the Cape Verdean people sailed and, in some cases, settled in. The map also shows the routes
of the Whaling Ships, many of which were crewed by Cape Verdeans that sailed
out of New Bedford.
